Introducing Encryptomatic OpenPGP for Outlook

Encryptomatic OpenPGP is an add-in that brings secure OpenPGP email encryption to Microsoft Office Outlook. It works with the on-premise, Windows versions of Microsoft Outlook including 365/2019, 2016, 2013 and 2010.

Encryptomatic OpenPGP is free for personal use, journalists, activists and legitimate non-profit organizations. For everyone else, including business and government use, it's very affordable.

We built Encryptomatic OpenPGP to make the world a little bit more secure and private.  Because of our strong familiarity with building add-ins for Microsoft Outlook, we felt uniquely qualified to work on this project.

OpenPGP has been notoriously difficult to use.  It's an older protocol that began in the 1990's and has long been in the domain of security experts and people who took the U.S. government just to earn the right to release encryption software, previously classified as munitions.

This project began when one of our clients asked us if we could build an OpenPGP add-in for Outlook that was easy to install and "just worked" for his users.  We've built a number of business requested features into the add-in to make it more practical for non-technical users without sacrificing security.

Encryptomatic OpenPGP uses MIT licensed open source code from the Bouncy Castle project, combined with our own menu tools and commercially licensed installers.  We contribute bug fixes and our enhancements back to the open source community.  To make it easier to install for Windows users, we apply our commercial code sign certificate to every release and update so that you can be sure the software you are installing comes from us.

Encryptomatic LLC is a U.S. based for-profit software company.   Our developers are paid, and have many years experience building Outlook add-ins, as well as knowledge of encryption systems. Although we are not trying to make a lot of money on OpenPGP, we also need this effort to be sustainable so we can give  Encryptomatic OpenPGP the sustainable attention it deserves

We ask business users to play fair and please purchase a license.  Your support helps us continue developing, supporting and updating Encryptomatic OpenPGP so you can do your work. It also lets us providing this software free of charge to organizations doing good in the world, like Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty International. Privacy is under threat by those who fear it and by those who would profit by stealing from you.  Lets work together to keep OpenPGP email encryption relevant, accessible and practical to use.
